Sales Operations Manager

Stem exists to help artists navigate the business behind their music. We do this by reducing complexity, creating clarity, and providing more opportunities to exercise full control. The artists on our platform decide for themselves how their hard-earned dollars flow–whether through splits to their collaborators or by scaling their earnings to invest in their futures with no strings attached.


Stem is hiring a Sales Operations Manager with deep expertise in Salesforce to own the tools used by our rapidly growing sales team, and drive sales strategy with the data that they produce. We will rely on this person to create efficient workflows and rapid process iterations to bring our products to market more effectively. This person will also collaborate with our Manager of Artist & Label Operations to equip the account management team with tools & processes to better serve Stem’s clients.

 

Stem’s vision is to become the financial backbone of the music industry. We currently offer distribution, artist advances, and a suite of related financial tools. Our sales team relies heavily on Salesforce to collect data on and prioritize their prospects. This Sales Operations Manager will drive iterations in our salesforce instance to accommodate changing needs, and surface ways in which we can become more efficient. If you’re the type of person who enjoys enabling teams with technology, and is comfortable tackling large projects with minimal oversight, this role might be for you!

 

This role is full-time and fully remote, with occasional in-person get-togethers in Los Angeles for which we cover travel / lodging for out-of-town employees.

What You’ll Do:

+ Customize the Salesforce (Lightning) interface for Stem’s sales and account management teams

+ Own and update various technologies connected to salesforce including Conga (contract generation automation & e-signature) and Skyvia (data integration between Salesforce and our PostgreSQL database, may change to new tool)

+ Analyze sales performance data via salesforce reports to drive insights as to how we can optimize our sales process

+ Work with SDRs and sales executives to create efficient workflows for generating leads

+ Join sales meetings and act as a thought partner in how to optimize workflows & implement new tools

+ Change management – ability to work with a diverse group of people to teach & drive adoption

+ Ability to work cross functionally with other teams

 

 

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

+ Advanced Salesforce proficiency

+ 7+ years of experience in sales enablement

+ High level of discipline – checks one’s work meticulously to ensure proper functionality and no adverse impacts on data quality

+ Strong research skills and independence – able to learn new technologies and research bug solutions without assistance

+ Empathy – communicates well cross-functionally to understand each team’s needs and customize tools/processes to suit them

+ Sales acumen - understands how to create effective B2B sales workflows

+ Excel & Google Sheets proficiency

 

It’s a bonus if you have:

+ 10+ years of experience in sales enablement

+ Advanced Excel & Google Sheets proficiency

+ Basic SQL proficiency

+ Experience with data visualization tools such as Periscope, Sisense for Cloud Data Teams, Looker, or Tableau

+ Previous management or team lead experience
