Social Media Specialist

A Social Media Specialist is responsible for creating, strategizing, and publishing content on all social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook, to grow our audience and encourage customer loyalty.


Core responsibilities:


- Develop a unique strategy for individual social media platforms and various marketing campaigns

- Understand the target audience for each social channel

- Create persuasive content ideas that resonate with our audience, and are unique to each social media channel

- Plan and schedule social content 2 weeks in advance

- Ideate and define goals to ensure the growth of our channels and needs of our community are met

- Stay abreast of new social platforms and features to ensure we are always early adopters

- Keep your pulse on the latest and emerging platform trends, and propose ideas on how we can show up on these platforms

- Constantly stay up to date on the BeatStars platform, customer support, social trends, producer culture, and advancements in technology

- Research new content ideas to keep our community engaged and feeds fresh

- Educate users on the platform and develop innovative ways to encourage them to try our products

- Highlight the community in unique ways and share their success stories

- Work together with the social team to understand performance and growth metrics in order to adjust creative for optimizing posts.

- Participate in brainstorms and content ideation

- Be self-sufficient with producing your own content

- Able to make clear and concise design requests

- Work with collaborators to produce content


Job requirements:


- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or other related field 

- 2+ years of experience in social media management. 

- Direct experience working across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok etc. 

- Previous experience with social media management and analytics tools 

- Intuitive understanding of consumer branding with an ability to naturally adopt our brand's tone of voice & visual identity. 

- Music industry knowledge 

-Extremely creative with a clear vision for relevant content that will resonate with our community.

- Ability to grasp future trends in social media and act proactively.

- A confident self-starter who can take initiative and make decisions in their role

- Stays up to date on the BeatStars platform, current campaigns and opportunities to provide excellent customer communication

- Collaborative with other team members and is not afraid to share ideas

- Must be able to work remotely
