Supply Chain Manager, Light in the Attic

Leading record label and distribution company Light in the Attic seeks to fill the role of Supply Chain Manager. This role reports to General Manager and will primarily focus on all things related to inventory, with a demand planning & purchasing component. As a key member of the Operations team, ensure the right products are being ordered and re-ordered from both our record label and our network of distributed labels and vendors. You will be responsible for making sure that we are never out of stock on key titles with an eye toward maximizing sales and optimizing the ordering cadences and projections models in the process. You will support the Operations team in driving Light in the Attic’s catalog of vinyl records, CDs, cassettes, and non-music merchandise, as well as that of our ever-expanding network of partners and distributed labels including Nancy Sinatra, Sony Japan, Waxwork, MONDO, iam8bit, Tidal Waves Music, Ship To Shore, and more. This position will play an integral role in shaping the future of the business, working as a key member of our Operations team to optimize and maintain a best-in-class sales and distribution pipeline.


You will:

- Be the go-to person for all inventory purchasing

- Own and maintain relationships with all Vendors and Labels and be the key stakeholder responsible for ensuring orders are placed on time, POs are entered, and the appropriate quantities are ordered

- Maintain cadences and projections models to forecast demand for key Light in the Attic Records and distributed releases across direct to consumer and wholesale channels

- Maintain sales and purchasing forecasts in LITA’s Proprietary Demand Planning Model 

- Own claims and damages tracker collaborating with Logistics Coordinator and Label/Vendor rep to ensure that the appropriate credits are received

- Process RTVs with the support of Logistics Coordinator and Label/Vendor rep

- Process damage claims, re-works, and maintain to the internal tracker to ensure all damages are accounted for and the proper credits are received

- Work with vendors to coordinate direct replacements for damaged goods

- Collaborate with Finance to ensure POs are placed and invoices are paid in a timely manner

- Assess Vendor Performance in terms of lead time, fill rate, and responsiveness and make recommendations to management for purchasing strategies

- Communicate risks and opportunities to stakeholders and senior leadership

- Collaborate with Labels, Vendors, and internal team on marketing or release-specific buy strategies to support product initiatives, maximize in-stock, and inventory productivity across both direct to consumer and wholesale channels

- Provide ongoing communication to the relevant teams/stakeholders regarding product financial performance across D2C/B2B 

- Assist in seasonal/event/sales initiatives (e.g. Record Store Day) and plan assortment with support from Sales and Production

- Identify preorder and reorder opportunities with Key Accounts/Distro as well as ensuring Distro Product Catalogs align with internal Product Catalog

- Facilitate weekly Supply Chain Ops touch base meeting with 3PL pertaining to closing the loop on outstanding day-to-day tasks

- Review E&O analyses and make inventory recommendations

- Ensure Vendor Consignment Statements are published accurately and promptly

- Review COG and Margins analyses and make recommendations for cost-savings initiatives

- Be key support and collaborator on future software/application implementation projects

- Other duties as assigned


Requirements and Qualifications

- Strong attention to detail

- Mind for organization

- Demonstrated experience using Excel including pivot tables, charts, and advanced formulas

- Demand Planning (2+ years)

- SAP, IMS or ERP Program (3+ years)

- Shopify (preferably D2C and Wholesale channels)

- Microsoft Office Suite and G-Suite, Slack, Asana 

- Strong analytical capabilities

- Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)

- Inventory Control and Management

- Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally

 

Education and Experience

- Record label or distribution experience preferred (5+ years)

- Demand Planning experience recommended - preferably in a wholesale environment

- Experience with Fishbowl Inventory preferred

- Bachelor's Degree 

- 5+ years of related work experience
