Description

  • To be a Day to Day Manager for Alternate Side, a management company based in the US managing acts like Cavetown, Hot Mulligan, Yot Club, Citizen, Erra, Fit for A King, Summer Salt

  • To be the point person under a manager at the company to enact the below duties.

Job Duties

  • Shadow emails and calls with label, publishing, agent, etc partners and act on action items

  • Communicate with artist team members and take lead on assigned projects with them 

  • Calendar upkeep for artists and manager

  • Calendar upkeep for releases and major events 

  • Travel booking for artists and manager

  • Updating PRO, Catalogs of Compositions, and SoundExchange for artists 

  • Set lists and tour routing updates to publishers after each artist tour

  • Updating of publishers, product managers, etc on happenings of artists to push for sync and other opportunities 

  • Writer session upkeep

  • Producer and songwriter split tracking for internal sheets and paperwork + lawyer tracking spreadsheet for open agreements 

  • Tour date uploads and tour marketing prep

  • Social media posting for certain artists 

  • Updating content grid for A-Side social media 

  • First of month update social follower and Spotify counts for our roster 

  • Represent company and artists with respect, pride, and compassion at shows, meetings, and events 

  • Manage artists web stores alongside their merchandise companies 

  • Execute marketing campaigns alongside label partner

  • Tour logistics and planning and budgeting

Ideal Efficiencies

  • The ability to communicate confidently and effectively with staff members and artist teams

  • Strong organizational ability and attention to detail

  • Proficiency and openness with macOS, Excel, Google Sheets/Docs, Dropbox, Todoist, 1Password, and Mail apps

  • Proficiency with a busy inbox and thoroughly responding to and taking action on emails when needed

  • Understanding of different roles at a label and utilizing each to ensure the artist is getting the most of the team

  • Marketing strategy 

  • Ability to work autonomously 

  • Team player attitude and a “get it done” mentality 

  • Affinity for a small company environment

  • Knack for speaking to artists and love for artist development

  • Forward thinking-thinking ahead to catch issues before they can happen

  • Ability to travel across the globe for show support or meetings
