Digital Marketing Manager

The Syndicate is expanding its marketing department and seeks an experienced and extremely motivated professional to join our team. The Digital Marketing Manager will work directly with music, comedy, and entertainment clients to lead social media and/or digital marketing campaigns from conceptualization to execution and reporting. Candidates should be available to work from our Weehawken, NJ home office on a hybrid schedule. 

Our ideal candidate is a strategy guru and media/social media powerhouse who knows how to put together a detailed marketing strategy, identify target audiences, and execute a campaign across the digital sphere. This person should have experience in paid social and/or digital media buys and the ability to plan and execute a paid media campaign across multiple platforms.

Applicants should be results-based creatives and strategic thinkers who can manage a number of campaigns at once. They should be able to react and pivot quickly on campaigns as needed. They should have a successful track record of designing and implementing successful digital/social media campaigns and proven results of online growth, increased engagement and/or conversions.

This individual must have strong writing skills and must have a passion for pop culture, especially music & comedy.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and execute marketing strategies across digital media for a wide variety of clients

  • Conceptualize, execute and refine creative and effective holistic digital marketing strategies: from content calendars to ad strategies to fan acquisition and engagement, as well as contests and promotions

  • Build and grow social media platforms for a wide variety of clients

  • Manage (and/or monitor) day-to-day activities on social media platforms and apps, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and more

  • Strategize, execute and analyze social advertising campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Google AdWords

  • Analyze and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results

  • Train clients in best practices and assessing their use of platforms

  • Monitor and report on new trends in social media, including new platforms, features, and case studies (and implementing them into clients’ campaigns)

  • Create, negotiate, and execute paid digital media planning in conjunction with media outlets and influencers

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-7 years of social media and digital marketing experience in the entertainment industry

  • Desire for a fast-paced work environment and propensity to attend client events, shows, etc (evening & weekend hours as necessary)

  • Must be a team player who thrives working with and being accountable to a group

  • Excellent writing and grammar skills 

  • Proactive and outgoing with a “get-it-done” attitude

  • Strong-to-expert knowledge of best practices on all social media platforms, especially Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok and Instagram (but also Snapchat, Triller, and more), with a sense of different community behaviors and points of interests across those platforms

  • Experience developing, maintaining and analyzing social media initiatives, with a strong knowledge of how to attract and retain specific demographics

  • Deep understanding of social media across every platform, and experience using all features each platform offers including Facebook Business Manager

  • Expert knowledge in the paid media industry - across social and digital - and knowledge of traditional media platforms as well (OOH, print, guerilla marketing, etc.)

  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills

  • Must be detail-oriented, innovative and resourceful

  • Familiarity with various analytics tools and knowledge of how to gauge the success of campaigns. (You will be responsible for reporting metrics on a regular basis and constantly assessing how strategy is working or could be improved)

 

BONUS POINTS

  • Experience with influencer marketing

  • Basic knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics 

  • Basic but good design skills and experience using Photoshop and basic/working knowledge of HTML
