Radio Promotions Coordinator
Position Summary:
Secretly Group’s Radio department seeks a Radio Promotions Coordinator. Secretly Group’s radio team is responsible for the radio promotion for both Secretly Group labels (Dead Oceans, Jagjaguwar, Secretly Canadian) as well as releases from Secretly affiliated labels Ghostly International and Saddest Factory. This is a newly created role that will report to the Senior Director of Promotions and work closely with our Radio Promotions Director. This is a full-time role that could be based in either our Bloomington, IN, Los Angeles, CA, or Brooklyn, NY office locations (currently remote until further notice).
Principle Responsibilities:
Maintain relationships and pitch to Non-Commercial AAA, College and non-traditional/community/internet radio stations for a large roster of artists under labels Dead Oceans, Ghostly, Jagjaguwar, Saddest Factory, and Secretly Canadian via phone and email
Generate regular email blasts (Mailchimp, PlayMPE, AllAccess)
Oversee tour promo (live session advancing, interviews, giveaways, DJ sets)
Misc administrative department work (travel, budgets, stats pulling, one-sheets)
Represent Secretly Group’s radio department at conferences, shows, festivals, and with stations
Maintain and organize radio databases for contact information and tracking
Organize and execute promotional CD mailings and check releases for FCC violations
Ideal candidate will possess:
Radio station or music promotion experience (including college Radio or internship experience)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and be adaptable in a fast-paced working environment
Information gathering and monitoring skills with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Problem analysis, decision-making ability, and problem-solving skills
A motivated self-starter
Passionate about music and a familiarity with Secretly Group repertoire
Experience with Outlook, Excel, MailChimp, and Slack
